My Story

Compassionate Autism Support for Parents

Parenting a child with autism comes with unique challenges - but you don't have to navigate them alone.

My Story

My journey into autism advocacy and parent consulting began the day a doctor told me my child might have autism. At that moment, I was overwhelmed, scared, and determined to understand exactly what that meant for my child—and for our family.

I did everything I could to find answers, secure a diagnosis, and access resources. In the early years, it was incredibly challenging. My child wasn’t talking yet, and many of the services I found were geared toward children with more severe needs. Insurance often didn’t cover the therapies my child truly needed, like social language and social skills support. Managing my child's behaviors sometimes felt like being a Secret Service agent—trying to anticipate every possible trigger to prevent meltdowns.

Over the years, I attended countless parent trainings, behavior support seminars, and professional workshops across Houston. I sought out one of the best psychologists in the city, ensured my child received daily speech therapy, and worked tirelessly to find strategies that actually worked for my child. It wasn’t easy, but slowly, everything started to click.

Today, my child is thriving in college. My child is independent, confident, and achieving things we once only dreamed of. And while the school played an important role, my child's success was built on a team effort: dedicated educators, expert therapists, supportive peers, and a mother who never gave up. It was the combination of professional guidance, practical strategies, and relentless advocacy that made the difference.

This experience is why I am so passionate about helping other parents. I know firsthand how isolating and confusing this journey can feel, and I know how critical the right support and guidance are. My mission is to provide parents with the tools, insight, and encouragement they need so they don’t have to navigate this path alone.

I’m here to share what I’ve learned—from my own experiences, professional trainings, seminars, and collaboration with experts—so other families can feel empowered, informed, and hopeful about their child’s future.
