Lived Experience
In addition to my professional background, my work is deeply informed by my experience as a parent of a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a Speech Impairment in the areas of language and articulation. My son was also later diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech, which shaped much of our early intervention and therapeutic journey.
From the beginning, he received comprehensive support across medical, educational, and therapeutic settings:
-
Early Childhood Intervention (ECI):
Received services through BACH ECI, initiated upon pediatrician referral.
-
Preschool Services:
Participated in the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) program from ages 3 to 5.
-
Public School Supports (K–12):
Received special education services from kindergarten through 12th grade, including:
• Speech therapy as a related service for language development
• Accommodations and supports within the general education classroom
• School‑based occupational therapy
-
Private Therapies:
Over the years, he participated in a wide range of private therapies, including:
• Speech therapy (including diagnosis and treatment for Apraxia)
• Occupational therapy
• Physical therapy
• Social skills therapy
• ABA therapy
• Additional behavioral and developmental interventions
This extensive, lifelong involvement with early intervention, school‑based services, and private therapies has given me a comprehensive understanding of the challenges families face—emotionally, academically, and systemically. It also allows me to support families with both professional expertise and the empathy that comes from lived experience.

About This Space
Welcome. You're in the right place.

This consulting space was created for parents of children on the autism spectrum who are looking for guidance, reassurance, and practical support - without judgment, pressure, or overwhelm.

Parenting a child with autism can feel like you're constantly figuring things out as you go. There's information everywhere, opinions from every direction, and not always a clear path forward. This business exists to help make things feel a little clearer and a lot more manageable.

Here, the focus is on:
-
Understanding autism in everyday terms.
-
Learning how to support your child at home and at school.
-
Navigating special education with confidence
-
Creating routines, strategies, and systems that actually work for your family.
-
Recognizing and building on your child's strengths and interests.

This is a consulting and parent-coaching service, not therapy and not legal advocacy. The goal is to teach, guide, and support parents so they feel informed, empowered, and confident in their decisions.
